Construction

DOVEMATRIX artwork often includes repurposed technology, using found objects, purchased items, and upcycled items in unique ways.

Wall-mounted pieces often include the frame of an upcycled television to which layers of carbon fiber, metallic patterns, cutting mat grids, or glow vinyl have been applied. Textures are built up using circuit-boards, illuminated optical fibers, light emitting diodes, laser illuminators, and miscellaneous electronics, enclosures, or machinery.

Some decorative elements provide additonal interactivity such as diffraction gratings, holographic images, microfiche, film cells, bubble levels, temperature sensitive color changing materials, and magnetic field visualizing films. In some instances QR (quick response) codes or NFC (near-field communication) chips are also included that open the DOVEMATRIX.com website when scanned.
